hey i am about to buy a cam and maybe heads but who is putting out better numbers ive never heard about the vindicator till now and i just wanna get the most out of the cam that i buy

In dynanometer results, they have a guy in an 02 car making like 440whp, I believe. Waiting on track times to back up the wild dyno numbers, but from what I saw/read in the thread it looks to be a super strong performer.

i sold my ms4 and im prolly going with a vindicator setup, puls its nice having vengeance right down the road. so far i've seen better dyno results from the vindicator but now much from either at the track

It's a comparison that should be taken for what it's worth. It was compared against a relatively old cam (in terms of valve lobe improvements as of lately). The vindicator has better results because it is a better designed cam for that vehicle. Remember, not many typical results get posted on the internet, mostly atypical (which is what sells things). I would agree it performs better, but as much as it showed on that graph would be dependent on so many other factors. Just do your homework and pick a cam that best suits you, not one that someone else saw decent gains on.

If the Vindicator is indeed a 240/244 and compared to a MS3 (which were typicaly sold as 113LSA).
two things strike right away, bigger durations and tighter LSA on the Vindicator for sure.

G5X4, MS4 and Vindicator seem to all be derivatives of each other from what I've seen so far.

MS4 uses lsk intake lobes.? The G5X4 and vindicator use X-er lobes. Also the vindicator is on a 112 and I think the G5X4 is on a 111 but I can't be certain.

What hasn't been compared between these camshafts is the piston to valve differences. We build our camshafts with a certain amount of safety in the p/v. We've researched tons & tons of camshafts options & I personally know that the p/v on any of our camshafts have adequate clearance.

The piston to valve clearance on my vindicator camshaft I was about to install is .022" on the intake side & .082" on the exhaust side. I can't believe a company would sell something like this to their customers. I checked the lobe sizes to a Comp Cams catalog & checked the lobe numbers to make sure I received the correct camshaft.

Vengence I want my money back on this camshaft!

Looking at most of the results from the MS4 and the G5X4 (X4 is very similar to the Vindicator's specs) and Vindicator, how are the 2 similar cams even comparable to the MS4? Have you guys been looking at the independent results of these cams? Or only shop numbers?

They are all derivatives of each other, variation are in intake lobe for MS4 (still comes out as a 24x duration), and different LSA on the others.
If all 3 cams are ground with the same LSA/ICL, they will be almost identical at .050 VEs. MS4 having a little less exhaust duration.

Power wise the MS4 will do a bit better due to the LSK intake lobe.
