Default What do I do with this EGR Plug?

Got the EGR Plug and block off plates for EGR & AIR from Speed Inc. The blockoff plates are simple but I'm a bit confused on the plug. Does it face up, so it looks like it would hold water and tap down in? Or the other way, with the dome on top? What sort of sealant is needed?

Weird, I haven't seen that plug before. I ordered my plates from WS6store and actually didn't get anything to plug up the intake manifold. Any hardware or parts store though will sell a 1-3/8in adjustable freeze plug that fits perfectly.

EDIT: Pic

I'd do top down with the round edge going downward. Use RTV is your worried about leaks, this isnt as bad as LT1 EWP's

BSM, that's what I was thinking too, but it won't look nearly as clean. I'll probably try and install it with the dish up RTV it. The whole point of this mod is to clean up the engine bay....

Spray paint it black, you wont notice it as much, use Black RTV.

GM has a EGR Cover, part #12558346, Retail is about $17 but you should be able to get it for around $10.

You can also use your old EGR tube and cut and weld it shut.

tap the plug in with the round end in toward the intake, so that when you look at if from the top, it looks like a cup on the EGR hole. You don't need RTV of any kind. Just make sure to tap it in evenly. I'd take a picture of what mine looked like before I installed an LS6 intake, but I don't have my camera with me.
