Default Poll: Will my 10 bolt survive?

I know the deal with 10 bolts, they are junk, my bother exploded his in his cammed M6. But how many of you think it will survive the following mods *edit* for 1 or 2 track seasons:
-3600 stall
-MT ET street radials
My car currently has 350rwhp with bolt-ons and im looking for the best 1/4 possible, (hopefully some low 12's) I will eventually go 12 bolt, but want to hold onto some $ $ $ now. I understand 10 bolts can and have broken on stock power, but im curious as to what you guys would do.

Mine went before the the first oil change. Grenaded so bad had to get a new driveshaft and I will just replace the rearend. Lost it from 2nd gear on the street. My rear goes clank and vibrates ever rotation. M6 is like a type of explosive you use to blow open a 10 bolt.

^I agree, a 10 bolt stands no chance against an M6, it is certain death. But I will be running an A4, which makes it a little more interesting.

Going on my 3rd 10 bolt rebuild. With a stock converter and M/T drag radials I got about 2 years and 120+ passes out of it.

Now I have a 3500 stall and worked 10bolt - I give it a year or so depending on the amount of passes I put before it goes.

The engine just has minor bolt-ons and before the converter I was running 12.5s

Will it survive behind your auto? For a while, yes. Will it survive wheel hop? NO.

Would installing some LCA's help control wheel hop? These would swap with my eventual 12 bolt, so I still wouldn't be spending a dime on this piece of garbage. Also, im only looking to get 1-2 track seasons out of the 10 bolt.

Cam + nitrous + D.R.'s =
I would be staying bolt-ons only.

i think it will survive with a t/a cover. severla guys ive seen are running low 10's with 1.5xx 60's (gm muscle being the first that comes to mind) on a 10 bolt. i wouldnt trust it though, and dont trust mine, hence why i bought a platinum aaa membership, and am going to pick up my spare 10 bolt saturday

ive been DD my 10 bolt car with Heads/cam/ 90/90, drag radials, M6, suspension stuff for a while. its all how u drive the car. so far its handled the abuse fine (knock on wood).. and i couldnt see a T/A cover making ur 10 bolt any stronger.. and ill let u know how the 10 bolt does when i get my direct port up and running here in the next few weeks

Agreed on how you drive.. With street tires they will break loose easy.. (good for you and the rear) Sticky tires and preload the trans (Boom) I preloaded all the time @ the strip and had perfect hook up..BOOM

Why bother?? Replace that **** and something else (differential, axle) will break. Any time you get a feeling like you might want to dump some money into your rear end, put it aside for when it breaks. And when it does, go 12 bolt.

Girdle is fine, don't waste the 300 extra dollars on the gears. This is my last re-build of a 10bolt. I hope it last long enough for me to get the Dana s60 setup next year.
