I got my confirmation in the mail today. Damn, I'm getting the itch to drive my car, I can't wait to try her out in the turns! Sure hope this crappy weather clears up.
Sadly I have been spenidng all my time & money on getting the car to run right after the car show, so the new suspension won't be on the car.
Maybe I'll just HAVE to go back for another session.

Got mine today too. They want a check for 2500 (returnable) in case I destroy the school car. That should bounce to the moon. It isn't enough that they are taking an extra 300 to use their car but now they want a dammage deposit too. There goes all the fun of using their car .

It'll be great to see you all there. Only 18 days to go!
I've got to get my car checked out though. At the dyno day I noticed my exhaust seemed to be hanging lower than the other GTOs and yesterday I walked up to my car to find the tailpipes sagging. I looked and found the rear hangars had completely slipped off!!! I don't have a lift, but I need to get under there and make sure the exhaust is secured everywhere it is supposed to be. I'd hate to end up dragging my mufflers around the track!!!

"it's only money,
what are you gonna do? ... spend it on something you want..."
I figure my car isn't quite up to the task right this second (but will be this season)
and driving a F/F car (Cavilear / cobalt) won't do a whole lot for me.
and,
how often do you get to rail on a Lotus for a test drive on the track?

There won't be too much passing going on for you school boys! Jason, that C4 is probably one of the better handling cars out of the group and that lowly L98 has some grunt to come out of the corners with. It just going to kill you going down the straights.

You are correct Jason, HAL makes several different spring rates for their front & new coil-over rear setups. I'm thinking their heaviest ones are what I'd want. Just need to make the call. (my car bottoms out now, so I need stiffer springs)
I would sacrifice some of my drag racing performance with stiffer front springs. But the adjustable HALs should let me set the car up to do everything fairly well. Like taking bumps at speed without losing my exhaust. I definitely need dbls up front now for drag racing.

Big front sway and stock rear sway. Car should move smooth as butter.
