Default some kind of combination of intercooler or meth

going to set this poll up for A2A IC A2W IC Meth injection,

or Meth and A2A

I DO NOT want to cut my front bird, and I do realize that they make IC's that fit in the whole by the radiator.

my car is mostly street driven and may see a track once every 1yr or so.
I do realize the pros/cons somewhat but I want to see what people out there have to say about it and what to go with

really, if the money situation turns out good, then I will go for a combination of something, right now I'm just focusing on getting one thing(one part) b/c i know how an IC at $300-400 and a meth kit (good one-alky control) $400-500 can add up real quick and in a hurry.

my set up doesnt require cutting the front bird out. The FMIC sits by the bumper support and just behind the support with the fog lights so thy can stay. The intercooler sits down a bit at a slight angle so it catches air from underneath. Its kind of hard to explain the placement, but under the bumper where it curls up, it is right there so the air flows up to the IC there. Probably not the most efficient way but it will definitely get some air and allows me to keep my fog lights and not cut up my bumper at all. I also have the snow stage 2 meth injection kit with 100% VP M1 meth to assist in even more cooling and fuel/octane/detonation fun stuff. Hope this helps! Keep searching for a good place to found the FMIC, or check out the procharger twin intercoolers and also add meth if you want more cooling.

it's only really corrosive if it sits on it for a while... think about it.. have you ever had rubbing alcohol on your hand?? If there's not that much it just evaporates and leaves a cool feeling on your hand... It's not sitting there long enough to hurt it...

yea, not like your going to have a gallon sitting in your heads or block to corrode it, very little is actually sprayed.

My buddy with a GN has used it for many years on the street and absolutely loves it...I'm sure if it were a big deal then you would have heard a member post supporting facts and pics...I've yet to see any... Most are just speculation that it "could" hurt but never any solid facts that it has...

i found some more inf on it. you are right that it doesn't stay long enough to cause any harm, especially with 50/50 meth/water mix

i know its been posted and said before, but for those of you with FMIC's that are mounted by the radiator under the car (hidden) and not cutting up the front bird, what sizes did you use? and where did you get the IC from?

I have heard from TRT and turbozone. I plan on calling TRT soon, as i talked to them first and one of the guys pm'ed me about talkin to em.

Good poll. I hate the gaping mouth on the fbodys, and I hope I can find a workaround. The intercooler does not seem to be an option at this time, since it seems to require the mouth.

Good question. I have heard the reports, but never the results and never the pictures.

I used an ebay intercooler 24x12x4 and layed it horizontal parallel to the ground. Keeps the front bird license plate cover in tact and keeps the foglights too. I had to make a custom shroud, but that was pretty easy.

Thats what pushed me to a A2W, didn't want to hack up the bumper and keep the bird in tact. I hate the look of the bird missing, but they look cool on camaro's though!
