Tell Me About Rallys And Races Like Gumball3000
I have just recently been made aware of Gumball 3000 by watching the British television show.
Then I got to see the IMV Films documentary that showed the real story and I was completely blown away.
So I want to learn more about these kinds of illegal and quasilegal rallys and races. Are there any others that I can check out? Are there any good forums or websites for fans of this kind of thing?

This is a US based rally held every year. This year it's from Montreal to Key West in May.

This might seem like a naive question, but I have been reading about these various events and they all include legalese with disclaimers about anyone caught racing will be thrown out of the event.
Do the organizers seriously enforce these rules?
I am not looking to start racing across the country and most likely I will never take the time and effort to become a participant in these things, but I am just curious about how these things really work.

spike tv is doing a "bullrun'' show. not exactly like the actual competition but still pretty cool. there is a cammed red TA in it too! mondays are when it shows i think.
as for the actual races, that would seen kind of bogus to enforce a racing clause. and if that's the case why wasn't burt renolds kicked out of cannonball run! haha (cheesy yes)
personally, if you wanna go across the country, get a couple of die hard buds with you and go. these events usually cost a lotta dollars. last i heard the gumball was $35k to enter not including car importing fees. i have no idea about the one's here though
