Default Had a dyno tune can I still use my Predator ?

I had my car tuned on the dyno at a local shop. My question is can I still use my Predator to make adjustments to shift points, fan temps, fuel, etc.. ?
Also if I got another custom tune from someone else could I load it using my Predator?

If you use the mode where it leaves the tune alone and just
tweaks what it finds you'd probably be OK. But I would not
"install performance" over a dyno tune, it probably wouldn't
like another +6 degrees of spark. Not current with the new
version, mine is old and unused anymore.

You would probably be better served by buying a real PCM programmer such as EFILive or HPTuners and selling your Predator to recoup part of the cost. Then you could download your current tune and save it, make changes to it, and reload the changed file into your PCM. This would be the safest way to make changes. Just my opinion.

I was told after I had my car dyno tuned with HPTuners that is I used the predator I had it would overwrite the current tune. Didn't try it though as I didn't want to take the chance.

Unless you put the car back to stock I dont think the Predator will be able to do anything now, much less you wont be able to resell it as it will still be locked to the car's vin and now unable to return to stock.

I would contact Diablo and se what they say, but my thinking is going to be no.

I put it back to stock before the car was tuned. I'm bascially looking to adjust the shift points and was hoping I could do this without going back to the tuner.

This will work. I'm pretty sure I talked with you guys today.
From the tune selection menu in the Predator you will select 'Factory HP tune"
Then, choose modify tune and change the settings you need to change and install the tune. This will add no further timing/fuel besides what was done in your custom tune.
As far as the tool being locked, as long as it has a revision of higher than 2.10 it will unlock once the backup is restored.
