Like the thread says, i plan on putting 5psi from a STS remote system with a FMIC. Im getting 42lbs injectors and a new PCM so i dont have to self tune. With a new PCM tune will an LS1 in a 02 t/a be able to handle it? i dotn wanna blow a motor.

There are tons of threads but I think the consensus you will get here is "yeah, no problem. go for it". Some members in recent threads have said they are running 10-12 psi and have been for a couple years with no problems. As always, be conscientious of what you have and you will be fine.

I have had the STS kit on my stock motor 02 Z28 for about a year and a half at 5 psi- 10 psi with no problems. I have a dual stage boost controller so I switch between levels. I would say it's not a problem as long as it's tuned properly and you take care of it.

yep, make sure you get a tune. you have the materials to run 7.5psi with no problem. although it looks like you will need a fuel pump

5psi is incredibly easy to do, just make sure the tune is good...18-20 degrees of timing and 11.5-11.8 AFR is safe within boost.

Fuel pump is suggested though and I would go with the TRT FMIC for some more power. At 5psi, you'll only be putting down maybe 410/415 at the wheels. Trust me, you'll want more

i think imma just get a PCM to replace mine from Nelsons Performance Tuning. or take it to a local speed shop.

Don't go to Nelson Perf. When i got my car Dyno tuned at Vengence Racing , they asked me if I ever had a tune I said yeah. They looked at me and smiled and told me nothing had been changed. If you live in the Atlanta area thats the place to go.

if i install 42 lbs injectors and an sts turbo kit and not lay into it would the car be fine to drive to a local shop? i dont have a trailer

no, dont drive you car without a tune at all. Thats a quick way to pop your motor. If you have to limp it to a shop for a tune send it in for a mail in first so they can set you up with a close tune and have them fine tune it once you get there.

Not saying this is what you should do but I have been running my oem f/p from the get go and never had any issues with lean conditions, but I carefully watch a/f and fuel pressure. When installing I tested and made sure that I had enough fuel pressure and volume just to avoid trouble but I am installing a larger pump this week.

I also agree on cutting an access hole to the fuel pump as "sevanseriesta" stated I have done pumps in F-body's both ways and the access hole is the way to go!!!

Also you could get a bigger TB if you choose but it won't improve too much unless you have a larger opening to the intake to let that air in thus a larger intake is needed. Just my 0.02
