Default 2-bolt to 4-bolt main caps

I'm adding a Lunati rotating assembly(383) to my 95 Trans Am and a single or twin turbo will be behind that. I'd like to build the bottom end to hold possibly up to 650rwhp. I'd also like to convert the stock 2-bolt main to a 4-bolt splayed cap. Which caps will be strong enough? Pro Gram? I think Pro Gram only makes caps 2,3, and 4 for LT1s? If so, what sould I do about cap #1 and #5? Arp studs on 1 and 5 and leave them 2-bolt? Thanks.

Using Callies splayed mains on mine, they are expensive but worth it! Milodon makes a good set as well. Definitely use 4-blt with a power adder. I don't run a power adder yet but will spray down the road, just made sense to build it right the first time.

Where can I get Callies splayed 4 bolt caps? Do they come w/ all the caps, or just 2,3 and 4?

Pretty sure the callies are just 2,3,4.

Search for Callies stuff on google, they have a distributors list on there webpage.

If you cant find it from there you can get in contact with SLED28 (Dave DiLuca) at www.cdnperf.com he will get you a great deal on the caps.

IIRC, 2.3 & 4 are the most stressed, thus the best candidates for the 4 bolt conversion. You should be fine. I suspect you won't need dual turbos for just 650 hp. on a forged 383 setup. You will need to size the turbo correctly for the larger displacement, however.

ProGrams here, they only make the 2,3,4 caps in 4bolt because thats the only places on the block where you can fit the extra bolts/studs.

They DO make 'upgraded' front caps at ProGram... Callies is the only ones who makes 'upgraded' front and rear caps. Just go to Callies website, they're there.
