Default Installing New Tranny?

I'm having my messed up tranmission taken out and installing the level 2 performabuilt transmission.(Can't Wait)..Just wondering what kind of fluid would be best and how much of it should i buy..also is there a break in period for the new trans...
anyways thanks for any help

put about 1 quart in converter, install trans, put six quarts in trans , start in neutral wheels raised, add till full, run car through gears several times with wheels raised, turn off car, check for leaks and over all you have done, lower car, start car in park recheck and top off fuild if needed,drive car normally for rest of day, Next morning start car,run till warm, check and top off fluild. Thats it, And any fuild that meets or exceeds dexron mercron requirments is fine.

thanks how many quarts total should i buy...will 7 be good?

I would buy 10 to be on the safe side you can always take one o two back but it would suck to come up short but it will probably hold a total of 9 to 9.5 quarts

just curious should i tell the guy who installs my new tranny to flush out my old tranny and tranny cooler before he installs the new one...thanks..and/or is there anything i should do before the install..or this pretty much it..thanks
