Automotive technology school
Who all here has attended it? I'm thining of enrolling in a class this fall, just wondering if anyone here has done it and if so how did you like it...? it says you spend time in school, then at a GM dealership and it alternates until the class is over. Sounds pretty cool to me.

well i'm about to graduate from one, its a 2 year course, and right now i'm in the last stage which is clocking 112 hours at a dealership or independent shop. the school i attended went to covered a lot, but in the 2 weeks i've been working, i see that being out in the field is where you really learn and gain experience. which school are you planning on attending?

Did they make you take a bunch of basic classes before that one?

Id look into it, I know a few people who went to Nascar Tech Institution in Charlotte NC, but the problem with that is ALL you do is cars and you dont get a degree you get a certificate and it costs around 24 K for the 1.5-2 year program. Where as if you go to a community college and get an actual Associates degree in automotive (I know thats what its called at local community colleges here) you will get automotive training but at the same time you will have an associates degree, so If you wanted to get a batchlars degree in business or something you would be halfway there and wouldnt have to start from scatch. just my 2 cents
