Default Red faced gauges for my Ta

so im thinking about ordering some red-faced gauges for my trans am. But the company doesnt list the 97-02 trans am as an application. But they do list the 97-02 camaro. If i order these will they work on my trans am? Yea i guess they would huh cause the only place they wouldnt would be on the dummy lights and i dont think they include those i think they only include the 4 main guages and that it. Even if they did come with the other parts i could just cut it off. But they dont have a picture of it so i cant see whats included. Any help appreciated!!

always prefered stock look, the white ones stand out way way to much, and some look like autozone off the rack crap

if you get the camaro speedo, you can switch it out with your firebird one, but if you try and slap the faces for a camaro over the firebird gauge it will not line up, not just the dummy lights but the speedo and tach, gas, volts, it`ll all be off

There are no universal gauges for the years 1997-2002. For both the Camaro and the t/a, the 1997-1998 gauges are not compatible, or should we say an identical match-up, with the 1999-2002 gauges. The 1999-2002 received many changes, such as different numberic values of the engine temp gauge, placement of SES light, etc., etc., differing from the 1997-1998's.
As SCRWS6 said, the Camaro will not match up with the lines, symbols, etc. of the t/a. If you want the gauges that much, buy a Camaro cluster and switch the stock overlays with the ones on your t/a, then apply the red-faced gauges. This way, you do not have to deal with the difference in mileage. Also, it will be ideal if you want to change the color of the bulbs.

He said RED-faced gauges.

No offense guys but what you're all missing here is IM BUYING RED FACED GAUGES. not silver or white, RED.I already have silver mcewan or however you say that. The face will be red not the lights. I have already installed super white leds. So itll be red in the day and have that white digital look at night. And i think theyll work becuase im going to remove the factory black trim and put these down in place. So thesereally wont even be overlays theyll become the only guage faces on the cluster. The area where the dummy lights go will remain factory. i think its going to look great on my red trans am. Do you think i should make a layer of white vinyl (made specifically to let light through for business signs etc) or do you think itll be fine without it?

How did you manage a white glow, since theres a red/orange film on the back of the gauges?

It would be much easier to use a stock Camaro overlay. That is what I did.

theyre still orange or pink i should say lol. im removing the entire factory black gauges faces so they WILL light up white. the bulbs i used are single prongs that go to three white led bulbs so yea, the bulbs and even the light is white, but it still goes through my factory film and comes out almost pink. On top of that my mcewans also have a film other wise id already have them set up the way i want them and id just replace them with the red ones once they get here but since itd still be read due to mcewans film i havnt done anything yet.

If the gauges overlays are laminated why dont you try buying a white or silver set of overlays and spray them with some candy red paint? It could look good with the silver overlay giving it a metallic red look.
