Default New Motor, Low oil pressure

Ok i helped a buddy put a LQ9 in his camaro. We fired it up and it has about 15psi or so of oil pressure at idle. We were thinking faulty sensor or cluster so he pulled the intake manifold (has done about 100 of them and never broke a sensor). He pulled the intake out and the brake booster line was disconnected and as he moved it it barley touched it (didnt wrap around it just grazed it) and it broke. Were thinking it was cracked before. Could that show low oil pressure? We are going to put in a new sensor and data log it with hp tuners to rule out the faulty cluster and then go from there. Motor is brand new....we double checked the oilk pump o ring so im almost 100% positive its fine....i just never checked for the plug in the back of the motor but i dont see why that would of been removed. Any thoughts?
