Default Cam only 98 cars

I want to go cam only this summer. But i'm not too sure what my choices are and how good are they? I've also heard that pre 2000 the ls1 heads do not flow as good as 2000 and up models. So i'm just wondering what a good street cam would be and what # gains am i looking at. I'm at 334whp right now.

Thunder Racing TR224.. intake and exhaust... .563 lift..

i have a 98.. just basic bolt ons.. (not even long tubes yet).. and i have this cam sitting on the shelf..

i also picked up a free set of bare 241 heads that i will have ported soon before the install...

you should be ok using this cam on your 98.. no worries..

if you port your 853's they will be equal to or better than the 241's, 241's are die cast so the ports are smoother where 853's are sand cast and the ports are a little rougher, thats the only difference that i know of

F14 here, 232/234 .598 112lsa. Did 371rwhp on a Mustang dyno running like 11.8:1 AFR. I spin it to 6800 all the damn time with no problems.
