Topic question was "99-01 Cobra or LS1???" Check it out; I got bored of picking on them but its still entertaining. :judge:

Those guys are stupid. There pretty much all saying the Corbra. Now I can understand if it was a 03/04 Cobras but all other Mustangs suck (excluding a few). I think that us here can tell which is a better car. Like when people ask LS1 or 03/04 Cobra I know most guys he say go witht he Stang. I think I would stear clear of the Stang just so I wouldnt have to say I own a Mustang and be associated with some of those guys, although there are a few with some common sense.

And then they talk about the looks, jumping on you for selling your Stang for a Camaro. Looks is completly up to the person, thats something I never argue with someone about.

Take anything that comes out of Mustangforums.com with a grain of salt. Trust me that MOST of us are not that dumb, or biased. There was a thread on there about Fox bodys vs. LS1's that literally made my mouth drop because of the stupidity. And the comment "all Mustangs suck" is ridiculous, talk about biased. According to your logic all LT1 Fbods must suck as well considering they are a drivers race with New Edge stangs. And trust me, I have seen the same type on this site, "LS1 can never lose" :poke: Every community has their jackasses, but that forum seems to gather more than most :jest:

That one guy just said that he would walk a 95 M6 Z :confused: I destroyed like an 04 GT this weekend in my 93 LT1 on the interstate with ease.. I was playing with him like hopping on and off the gas in 3rd ( my cars an A4 BTW) While i was like half a car in front of him :jest: I have no doubt that i could take a 99 cobra in my ole LT1.
I think it does well for 160k miles :) and ill ahve to say i dont see no cobra stock for stock out running an LT1 but it would be CLOSEEEE.

I only read the first page, but it sounded just fine to me. Sounded just like LS1Tech, but for stangs. Hell, if I didn't know it was Stang board, I wouldn't have known if it was a GM or Ford site just by reading it. One Stang guy even said the same thing someone will say on here, "This is a _____ site, so you're going to get more people to tell you to go with _____."

My sis has a Stang that just got backed into. I think I'm going to join over there. He he he. It feels like going into the girls locker room. Only there are no naked cheerleaders. Damnit.

I just don't like the seating position of the Mustang, so I could care less how fast it is or isn't. I just don't like the feel of like I am driving a Grand Prix or any other sport sedan. Driving an fbody gives the closest feeling of driving a Corvette (or any other sports car).

I think the Stangs and F bodies have their pluses and minuses. I have a TA and a close buddy has an 02 GT. The TA out performs his car, but his car is def more liveable for daily use.

Yeah thats a little stupid, but we are just as bad. I have seen plenty of threads on this site that make me feel ashamed to be here, quite literally.

You destroyed an 04 GT in your 160k mile LT1? It could happen, but they are both low 14 sec. cars bro, your not gonna "destroy" one by any means if the Mustang driver knows what they are doing. I would give the nod to the LT1 with equal drivers/conditions/tranny's, but it is still a drivers race. A4 LT1's fall to my bud's modded 99 GT all the time. As for the Cobra vs. LT1.... nod goes to the 4 valve, but they are still pretty close as the Snakes only run .3 to .5 tenths quicker and no more usually when stock.

But, anyone who thinks a stock 4v can beat a stock Ls1 is on crack. The Mach1 gets close, but the Ls1 should always pull ahead.

God just reading some of the shit they say is irritating, and I am a mustang guy myself, well F-body and mustang guy is more like it, so many of them jsut dont know what they are talking about.....a stock M6 LS1 will rape a 99/01 cobra....it wouldnt even be close, I have raced a stock '99 cobra WITH the recall mod, in my stock '02 M6 TA from a 40mph roll in 2nd and I put 5-6 cars on that car so fast it was embarrassing.....

Looks are subjective to opinion... When I see a Red 99+ Stang with some nice chrome rims on it cruise by with the driving lights on it looks good. When I see a (insert color) TA (WS6 or not) cruise by I pay more attention than I would to the Stang, but this is how I feel about the cars.

Im a total GM guy myself. In 2001 i was looking for a new car and the GT was the first thing i looked into. When i got into it i didnt really care for the seats and the dash. Way to tight for me. And the sales guy was to pushy. So i left.

I like the body style of the 99+ mustangs and when you put the body mods on there really sweet. If GM never made som id be in a vette. Hell i even work with this guy that says all mustangs are a god sent. Please I drove a few of them and raced a bunch. I here this everyday. :eyes:

My buddy has an 02 GT w/ a 5 spd, nice car but IMO not on the level of an F-Body. I drove it even when I had my V6 A4 98 Camaro, and it was nice but I wasn't really impressed. He has 3.90s and intake/exhaust, and its pretty quick. Can't hang with a modded LS1 though.

I agree, but some people don't like the "plastic feel" of our interiors. They think they are cheap, but I for one think the interior in mine is beautiful.

To everyone that says that the GM interiors are crap...sit in a Mach 1. I almost thought about getting one (it was red, 6k miles, for 19k), that is until I saw the interior. YUCK. I love the interior of my Camaro. It's not cheap at all. My Monsoon stereo sounds fucking awesome, my dash lights nice and bright, steering wheel controls, leather. What's cheap about that? Because it doesn't have wood paneling hand carved from California redwoods that are grown specifically for GM? I just hate when people have to stoop so low that they pick on things like "you sit too low" and "the windshield is too long". WTF kind of argument is that?! :eyes:

I'd never own a stang because I hate how you sit and the shifter placement sucks balls.(Ford's automatics suck, so I wouldn't buy one of those either). Honestly I feel like my hand is going to go through the dash when I drive one.

+1 here. I get nothing but complements on the interior of my car. Having leather seats, leather side door panels,leather wrapped streering wheel,shifter ect must really suck I guess. :eyes:

I had a chance to run a lightly modded one (mach) from a roll, and yes I did roll away from him quite nicely!
