given you are an a4, unless you want to strip the car down, you're going to need at least a t/c, headers and a better cat back, nice h/c upgrades and some nice tires to keep one seeing your tail lights. this should get you roughly 370-400 rwhp. those cars put down low 12's with pretty high trap speeds. these mods can be done for about 3-5k installed, depending on how much you want to spend on your heads. you will soon need to be looking to upgrade from your stock trans and rear with those mods though.

I agree (minus the rear upgrade, there are A4's in the 10's with a 10 bolt rear). Even with that power, highway rolls are still going to be an issue if you race a 6 speed. I put down 400 RWHP and 380 RWTQ and the car weighs 3550 with me in it and at a highway roll of 65 MPH I stayed even with a stock C6. From a dig, or a lower MPH roll, I tear them up though.

that's not going to be as cheap as you think.. still look at 2k for a good setup with a tune that's not going to blow your **** up

Ive raced 2 since i got my car, one stock M6, and the other had Corsa Exhaust and intake. I jump ahead from anything under 40mph, and in the end i normally had them by 2 cars withouth pulling anymore. I have a 02' SS that made 352 to the ground

You can spray for a lot cheaper than 2k. Especially if its just a 100 shot

Not 100% safely. Even if you get a kit for $800, factor another 4-500 for a tune, then bottle heater, safety equipment, fuel pump etc. Thats the thing about N2O, just because its the biggest bang for buck, doesn't mean that buck is under $1000. Not to mention, spraying any kind of shot on a stock A4 will destroy the tranny pretty quick.

From the reseach i've been doing on nitrous i have found it to be a lot cheaper than 2k.

I've been looking at a simple single nozzle wet kit. Then i would get a window switch, FPSS, heater, tr6 plugs and a purge. (kit comes with WOT switch) With all of this you can spray safely and without a tune. Maybe just get on the dyno to do a few pulls to check the AFR. The kit and accesories will be under 1k.

BTW....i'm not arguing here i am just stating my opinion on what i've seen.

yea you CAN get a N20 setup for cheap, but IF you want it to be quality and to last, probally lookin at around 1000 for parts (cheaper if you get used) and then you def. want to get it tuned, which is another 4-500 but alot of people dont add the tune into the Total cost

I'd love to run a C6 on motor!!

Oh btw, I've got alot less money than $2,000 in my nitrous setup.

Used kit: $300
Wiring for the kit: $ 40
Timing Tuner/plugs: $269
Walbro 340 pump +PnP $209

TOTAL: $818

I'm still unsure if my bottle heater works properly or not so I may have to pick one of those up. I still need a few more jets also and purge.

All and all, a pretty good setup for around $1000

How much does a stall help above the speed that the converter normally locks up? How much would they help you with regular street tires?

Um? C6 runs low twelves? Stock????

Last I looked it ran mid/high 12s. Lid, stall, boltons should do nicely to a stock C6.

well considering i've read on here of guys running mid 12's with the auto's i'm sure the sticks with a good driver will run 3-5 mph higher in the 1/4 and from a roll trap speed matters alot more than et..
