Default removing rear seat belt bolts

Hello all,
New here and I have what may be a silly question for some but I am attempting to install some leather seat covers for my 2000 bird and I was trying to remove the bolts that attach to the sides of the seat in the rear. I'm no weakling but my god do I have to be the hulk to get those things out? I already stripped one bolt and was able to get another one half way out before I stripped that bad boy too. Am I using the right tool (allen wrench, hex key) ? The front seat belts just have regular screws and I had no problem whatsoever with those.

Anyone else have this problem?

Also any suggestions on how I can get the stripped bolts out? I am sure I can go to a hardware store and get replacements that's no problem.

appreciate it

Just buy the seats off eBay. They should be cheap. 82-02 all the same. Not that you'd want something pre-93 lol 95% or more of them are Cloth

As for the actual problem, no I have no solution other than penetrating lube, but that would soak into the foam :\
