$700 isn't that bad considering I have at least $7000 in materials in my headers and y pipe lol. Thats not even with all the 5" for the exhaust.

I feel the same way. I laugh when people say you can DIY turbo a car for a couple few grand.....when the piping for a decent set-up costs almost a grand by itself!!!!

also depends on whom you order from.... if you would have ordered tha material from Burns Stainless you would have paid close to 2k for that. i was thinking about using inconel for my primaries till i found out it would cost me almost 3k in just material.

i dunno at some point there has to be diminishing returns man....

i bought all the pipes for my hot side including flanges for 90 bux and i have more than enough. i figure another 100 for downpipe mats and i bought the aluminum kits of ebay for 100...

stainless is better for sure but mild isnt the worst thing in the world if coated etc.

to each his own, budget DIY is way different than non budget DIY though....

I hear ya and I don't see any couplings or clamps..The piping is cheap compared to a fuel system.Just did one for the truck which is near $5k. We got lucky on the downpipe-whole exhaust and just used a 4" stainless Jegs Deisel exhaust for $400.Had all the pipes and then some.

Already got alot ouf the clamps and whatnot. all joints will be v-banded...no silicone whatsoever. That stuff wasn't cheap either

wow, where did you get those bends from...raceparts??

3.5-4.0 90's mandrel bent aluminum(6063) or 304 stainless 16g(.065) on a 5-6 CLR for a lot less.
mandrel bends made in the USA All that might be 300-400 from that link.

I'm a budget FI guy, both my procharger FMIC set up (now kp's set up) and my turbo FMIC and crossover ran me less than 700 each and each set up was 304ss.

Vbands are where it gets expensive, silicone isn't cheap either

I bought the material for my headers and crossover at the other source listed. For the big piping I needed something on a tighter CLR which is $$$

the 3.5" pipe was on a 3.5" CLR and the 4" on a 4" CLR.

damn those are some tight bends Link is also good for others interested in tackling a DIY'er project and wanted to save some coin when buying mandrel bends and straight tubing.

well if the sizes dont get over 3" and you get it in mild (ur gunna coat it anyways right?) then it helps a LOT.

after 3" the bends start to get pricey.
