Oil Pump reading Zero at startup, then goes up. Is this normal?
Hi guys,
I started my car yesterday and noticed I had a check guages light on. I checked all my guages and it looked like I had zero oil pressur. Just as I went to turn off the car the oil pressure returned to normal. There were no strange noises (that I would associate with no oil pressure), the car drove fine and maintained pressure the whole. I noticed it did the exact same thing this morning when I started up; you guys think I need a new oil pump or it is probably just the guage.

Well I normally wouldn't mind, I'm selling the car very soon so I don't want the pump to crap out. Would a sending unit issue be in the PCM? It's not throwing any codes.
