cheap 68 firebird ls1 gas tank Guys, based on the sticky and the postings if I needed a cheap ls1 gas tank I could take a stock tank, add a return and throw a external fuel pump and 99 corvette regulator on it. Is this correct?

That will work, but you will have to watch out for the fuel running away from the pickup and the pump running dry. From what I have read there are at least a few people who have done this, and they said as long as they kept over 1/4 tank of fuel they never hit air with the pickup.
