Thumbs up SD tune done, SWEET!

For anyone thinking about a SD tune this is for you. My car drives like a baby right now. I have a iron 408 with Beck intake with 250 255 640 640 112 cam and ET 245`s with A4. For anyone who knows about about these intakes, they don`t like low rpm`s. Mike from G-Force and Joe from T56 tuned her for me and she drives awsome. Cold start this morning was sweet. She doesn`t surge or die at all. I couldn`t believe the differance in drivability with this tune. Still smokes the tires at a 50 roll like nothing! My wife can drive the car now! I turned the A/C on with cold start and put in gear. No problems at all. What I really like is the idle is low so you can hear the cam, SWEET. I thought I would pass this on for anyone thinking of going this direction!

Thanks for posting. I installed a rather large cam (in sig) and with the 4k stall it doesnt drive that well. Ive had the tuner mess with it for many many hours and im still not happy. It doesnt cold start well, it will die if i give it gas and then let off and hit the brakes and it surges and the idle hangs really bad. I think im going to talk to them about a sd tune.. What would be any disadvantages if any? Also im sprayed a tnt 150 shot, any effect on that? Thanks.

Spray was good, Haven`t been told of any disadvantages of any. The SD tune is the best you can get. It does take the MAF out of the loop. You can sell it to help pay for the tune. You don`t need it anymore. Just need to make sure who ever you take it to knows how to SD tune really good. They frive your car for acouple hours hooked up and tune it(while driving). Thats why the drivability is so awsome!! I Would recommend anyone for this. Hands down! I don`t regret spending the money. MY car is finally fun to drive around town and not just at the track

SD FTW!!! I run SD with hardly a decent tune and the car runs great, just a little rich at WOT but thats an easy fix.

Plus my engine bay looks good with no MAF.

Let us know how it goes. Good Luck! If the guy knows how to tune it that way you will be very happy. I promise!

You have to build everything from scratch. Its not just a cut copy and paste and its in SD.

Yes, you will be able to, EFIlive has some very nice custom operating systems that are designed for SD, as well as tutorials to help you along the way.

I'm going SD with my new setup as soon as its done.

EFI Live has a few different Custom OS's They're free by the way. OS3 is the one you'll want, or even OS5 if you want all the features. There are different versions of each OS to give the capability to upload your current cal file to the custom OS. This saves having to build one from scratch. If you read the custom OS tutorial on the EFI Live site or in EFI Live itself. It will all become clear.
Good luck with your purchase. You've made a good call on getting the best product.

We did, the cam just made it really tuf to drive around town at low rpm`s. Once we went to SD it clean-up nicely. Also the cold start is almost as good as stock. I can start her up and just about back her out of the garage perfect! It is the real deal! Also you can sell the MAF to make up some of the cost!
