Default Widening Magnesium Wheels?

I have a set of C5 Corvette Magnesium Wheels and was just wondering if they can be widened? I know that aluminum wheels and steel wheels can be shortened and widened, but can magnesium wheels be treated the same way? I want to run possibly 18x10 or 18x11 out back on these magnesiums. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Try contacting Weldcraft Wheels they should be able to tell you if it can be done or not.

Thanks. I've checked their website and it says that they work on aluminum and steel wheels but no mention of magnesium wheels. I will try calling or emailing them later on though. Any other help would be great.
