yes, that is exactly what u do. If u look in my link in my sig, thier are a few old pics i think with the badges on. the car looks different now but it still rocks those badges! I ground off the tabs with a dremal cause thats all i had and then used an all weather 3mm style adhesive tape, just cut into peices and pulled off the backing on both sides and then placed them on the car very carefully. Best way i found to mount them was to use a small level and measure from the crack of the door to where i want the side to be then from the molding up to where i want the bottom to be so both sides are the same. Good choice, its funny though, ive had acouple of people ask if it was a real Z28!?

I painted the white "28" gloss black and I painted the red "Z" victory red (brighter red).
I drilled 3 holes in the rear tail panel and used the supplied fasters to keep people from stealing my badge - damn haters.
I decided to go badgeless on the sides and I added my extra Z/28 to my engine bay on top of the radiator cover...I didn't really know where else to put it, I did trim off the tabs on this one and installed it with 3M double-sided tape.

I'm amazed that no one has used the 2nd gen Z28 emblems on their 4th gen. I think they would "fit" a lot better (physically and stylistically), especially under the tail light. Not to mention that the LS1 4th gen styling cues were taken from the 2nd gen.
