Popping noise from the front when braking
I installed Koni's a month ago and I now have a pretty good popping sound whenever I brake and turn the wheel at low speeds. It only happens when braking at low speeds, and pretty much only when making a turn. It doesn't happen at all over bumps on the highway. It seems to come from the front passenger area.
When we put the Konis in we had to put new endlinks on the front sway bar as the orginals broke. Is it possible they are binding? We didn't put a load on the suspension before we tightened them back down, so I don't know if that would make a difference or not.
Or could it be the rack going out?
I'm all ears as I would like to find out what this is so I can take the car to the mountains and not have to worry if I'm going to become bear food by flying off a cliff. lol

I jacked the car up this morning. Moved the wheel with my hands at 12 and 6 and no noise or movement. I did the same at 9 and 3 and I had movement, which I'm guessing there should be none.
So it's looking more like a ball joint or tie-rod? Just out of curiosity, how much does that run for a shop to do?

I chased a clunk like yours for a long time, I ended up fixing it by compressing the spring and tightening the nut on top of the shock. The guy that helped me do the install didn't get that nut tight enough.
