Default ProCharger idler pulley issues...AGAIN!

Well, these have lasted longer than the previous ones, but none the less...are ready for changing again...
This will be my 4th set...
First time was basically the lower one (that sits behind the large ATI supplied aluminum bracket) being reduced to a "V" shape...
Second time was both upper and lower bearing failure, of which the upper had the snap ring break and pulley started walking back and forth on bushings...
Third time which are my current pullies...the lower, again, is wearing out quickly...upper not bad at all...
When I installed this set, which was over a year ago, I also changed my stock idler and tensioner assembly as well as using new ATI idler bushings, which seemed to cure the problem...until lately...
Anyone have any insight on why this one in particular gives me problems? I have read all the threads here and elsewhere...I know others have had similar issues, but is there still no good fix?

The only issue I've ever had was wearing out the idler its' self. I went to the junk yard and found a steel one off a truck, problrm solved.

if you mean the big stock idler...I replaced it last change...I don't know what's up with the little aluminum ProCharger idlers...especially the lower one...ATI says that they upgraded the bearings a year or so ago, but I don't know if its a bearing problem or not...
I believe I still have original upper one...I may just put in the lower location to keep from having to buy another right now...

I don't believe they make an 8-rib upgrade for the truck P1SC...maybe that's the real problem...it being a 6-rib that is...

EPP, is there an 8-rib conversion for the truck set-ups?

You need to talk with Bob at Exotic Performance Plus.com. They wrote the book on Pro charger installs and are North Americas experts on the ATI Pro Charger issues.

Thanks! We don't do that much with the truck installs. Anderick could tell you if ATI makes an eight rib kit, it is not listed in their guide. If they don't, I would think one could be adapted. Bob
