Default AFR and ERR% not right?????

OK I though I was on the right track and got everything hooked up right. Followed all the instructions to a T. Well while in OLSD I did a log and my PLX WB does not move from 10.9. The err% said -31 for a good amount of cells inn the log. So I took that histogram of the err% copied it, and special paste mult by % in both VE like it was said to do. I wrote that to the car and started it. Car bucks, misses, and runs like carp now. I put the unedited tune back on it and runs fine again. any one tell me where I went wrong?

If the actuall AFR is not moving, I would start by double checking your WB wiring.

Its only 4 wires. One hot, one ground (hooked to the cig lighter) on ground and one wb wire (both of those hooked to HPT). Did I do the special paste mult% right? Or should I have done something different?

OK now this if friggen rediculous. I get 10.9 when its all plugged in and running. If i disconnect the sensor from the wideband I get 10.01. If I disconnect the wideband from HPT It reads 12.79. How the hell is it getting a wb reading with out HPT connected to the sensor? Somebody help a brotha out here. Im getting quite frustrated with this.

it sounds like his wideband either isnt programmed correctly or something isnt being spit out correctly...first thing to check would be the output voltage of the wideband to see what its spitting out. From there its usually easy to track the problem.

OK now this is leading me to believe the PLX unit is fried. With the unit getting its main power and ground I got the following with my volt meter. (one wire of meter touching frame/ground, other wire used to test WB wire)

WB wire 17.5(with the 02 sensor unplugged)
58 dropping to 51 (with the 02 plugged in)

The strange thing is the ground that is next to the WB wire is saying 44.5 / 119

Now this does not make senes to me. Am I doing this wrong or is my unit screwed up?

BTW I dont have the plx gauge, so nothing to compare with.

You were measuring volts or mV?

I have no clue, Im not an electrician. I just bought the meter last night to try to figure this out. Below is the meter I bought...

I had it set to the green 12V (in pic at about 9 o'clock).

I also tried it at"DC10A" and it gave me 1.75 which dropped to 1.55 after it was warmed up. (yellow bottom left - about 7 o'clock in pic)

Regardless, no matter what setting I have it on I could not get the 2.3v-2.4v volts PLX said I should have.

I'm pretty sure you want to put it on DC Volts like it is in the picture.

No that one was to see what the resistance is. reads a high number, then if you tough the two ends together, the gauge goes to 0. I called PLX and am gooing to send it back to be checked out.
