Default Cam Report

Well I tried to find the old post about cams with cam reports (cam Dr.), but the search was not working and I did not find it after searching 5 pages so here it goes. This is meant for informational purposes only and I am by no means complaing about the results so lets get that clear. First off, I ordered a 227/234 LSK/XER .640/.598 110 +2 cam from TSP who then obviously placed the order with Comp. I ordered it with the Adcole model 911 cam report. Well it looks like the LSK lobes tend to come in slightly shorter than spec while the XER where as expected slightly longer than spec. The intakes where between 226.6-226.9 with one being 227.2, the exhaust were more typical at between 234.4-234.9. Lifts calculate out to between .6390-.6406 for the intakes and .5970-.5982 for the exhaust. The lobe seperation came in slightly tight at 109.57-109.64 deg with the advance slightly under the +2 ordered ranging between .90-1.25 deg advanced giving an effective ICL of between 108.38 and 108.65. Overall I would say they did a damn good job on this one. I would have preffered seeing the LSA on the plus side of 110 instead of the negative with perhaps a little more advance, but all in all I am satisfied. Of course this was the regrind that was done and delivered in less than 5 days after FED EX (f'ud ex) lost the original cam and then would not settle on it until almost a month had passed. Now all I need are the Caddy lifters to arrive and some time to get started.

Good to know. Does the report come with the .006 numbers? I'm proly going to get a cam with 227 lsk lobes so I'm wondering how close it will be for the smaller numbers.

No it did not. The cam card says 277/283 if i remember correctly, of course we know it would not be exact. The report gives .020, .050, .200 numbers. The .020 numbers were between 253.4-254.5 (spec was 253.3) intake, 261.2-262.1 (spec was 259.8) ex.
The .050 numbers were 226.6-227.2 (spec 226.8)/ 234.4-234.9 (spec 233.9); and the .200 were 151.8-152.3 (spec 152.6)/ 154.7-154.9 (spec 155.3).
