wow they actually know?????

Most parts counter people here they look at me like I am stupid when I say Pontiac Trans Am.

they are like the only thing I see is Transport sir. and I sigh and say Look under Firebird, then they go uh do you know if its a 5.7 or a 3.8?

Then I punch them and leave

Sometimes I wonder why they dont test people before they give them those jobs, to at least see if they know about cars, but then again it wouldnt be fun because they wouldnt spend like 30 minutes look for my Flux Capacitor

I believe Advance Auto and Autozone have it listed correctly in the system.

I know at Advance, it says:

Pontiac Firebird
Pontiac Firebird Firehawk
Pontiac Firebird Formula
Pontiac Firebird Trans Am

Thats retarded if some stores have it listed as a Firebird with a V8

On that note, the ******** at the inspection station asked me if my car was a V6 or V8. Its a Trans Am, dumbass, they only came with the V8. Not to mention it was sittingnext to him running, as if it sounded like a V6. And then the dumb bastard prints me out an inspection sticker that says "Pontiac Transport". People are so stupid.

CSK has it in there right too. I don't recall looking up a newer one and it asking if it was a GT or not. One mexican had a SS with a 3.8L though >_> *cough*

They tested me at Checker though when I started. Just some verbal questions to make sure I was a fricken idiot. There's a NAPA store by me that I'll actually go to. Some smart cookies there.

LOL @ Transport. However it KIND OF is your own fault. You drive a Firebird, not a Trans-AM. People don't go around saying they drive a SE T/A is just the package. Yes, anyone in the automotive industry should automatically know what the hell a T/A is. I just know better when I go into a parts store to let them do their question routine. 90% of the time it doesn't matter if it's a Formula or T/A

its really bad when you're lookin for thirty year old parts and have to call it a firebird. It just takes the whole point of having "trans am" decals all over the car
