Default OFI build taking shape..no 56k

I got my OFI hotparts and have started the install. I am still waiting on a coupler before i fab the cold side...cold pipes in pics are just sitting there...not mounted.

vacuum manifold from Mcmaster Carr

Hot parts and radiator

Drivers side

Power steering clearance

Passenger side

All hot parts and radiator installed

lol...This ghetto fan setup keeps the temps at 205-220 deg in my garage so i canplay with the idle tuning and learn efilive/roadrunner. Dual 13" spals oughta have NO probs keeping the temps down

intercooler

Where she sits now with a/c.....needs cold side finished...fans...and mount intercooler

I am waiting for my support brackets from OFI....fans....a reducer/coupler and then I gotta get my exhaust mated to the 3.5" downpipe. With my schedule, I expect to be driving sometime next week.
The welds look great!! Coating is about an 8 out of 10. Fit is pretty good but stuff is tight and it takes TIME to get everything situated. My only concern is the power steering return...its very close but heat shielded so hopefully it will be ok. I gotta figure out what to do with the intercooler pipes....i may polish them but i am LAZY and just ready to drive

yes...they sell a 7/4/3 port version...i got the 4...found it on the GTO site
i think its called a vacuum distribution manifold...1/4" for the brake line and 1/8 for the vaccum/boost lines

Does anyone have a running kit? Id be concerened about the a/c, power steering and ABS setup. Where does the ABS block go? Turbo headers get VERY hot under boost. Ive melted many things that werent even close to them. I had to use the plug boot protectors and heat wrap over those.

Its a nice looking setup for sure.

After dealing with the tight confines of the Incon kit, I have a pretty good idea about what works for heat management and how close things can/cannot be. My kit had uncoated cast manifolds so stuff could bake if you didnt protect it properly. I'll definitely update as I get some driving time but thats still 1-1.5 weeks away.
A/c will be fine...no worries there...I can heat tape it if needed.
ABS block...I dont have one but the OFI dyno thread shows the abs block being in the same general area as stock. That same guy has been driving his a week now and the only issue he said he had was air in the cooling system. Once he got that out, no prob.
Ill try to get a pic of the boot protectors today.

I thought the kit for the other guy (got-v8) had a steel pipe in the radiator hose along with heat wrap. Did this come with yours or was that an afterthought for Joel's install? Looks great by the way!!
