I was considering powder coating or using engine paint myself if it was MUCH cheaper to paint some items under the hood such as valve covers, intake, alternator covers/bracket, maf ends. Just wondering what was the best rattle can paint to use. I know vht has some good stuff, I have also seen like duplicolor at autozone. I would imagine the high heat would be the best bet along with high heat clear. Anyone ever experiment with any of them? Also I wouldn't mind trying something with a metal flake in it. Any advice or pics would help!

duplicolor silver wheel paint gave me great results with my tb and maf ends. very glossy even without clearcoating it.

Duplicolor high temp Ceramic paint has worked very well for me. I use the 1200 paint and 500 clear.

Everything red/silver painted with duplicolor, including STB.

wow that looks pretty nice! It probably would be much cheeper than going the powder coating route! Anyone use anything with metal flake? seems like duplicolor looks good but I also heard vht makes some nice paint too...
