Why is it that most all runs go thru the mid-south to the East; hardly ever hear of a run to the West?

I am surprised there isn't more hype about this than there is.

I registered for this, and hope I can make it.

I wish I lived closer, I think it would be awesome. Jerry Reed or Burt Reynolds gonna lead the way?

Burt may be at the Year One Experience that takes place at the end of the Run. Can you imagine the fuel stops? 200 cars tanking up in one place?

I am thinking about doing it. It sounds like a blast, esp. with the shows and stops along the way.

I'm driving up to Texarkana from Austin to see 'em off. I won't be able to make the whole trip. I'm hoping they'll do it more often, I'd love to make the whole trip!

I ran up to Tupelo MS (about an hour from where I live in Starkville) for a couple of hours to see the cars at the auto museum. I have to say there were some nice cars there! The resto mod was just Awsome. 18" snow flakes custom interior the works. Probly the best part was when a 77 or 78 gold TA started doing donuts. And do I mean DONUTS. Round and round about a dozen times. An 02 bird wasn't going to be out done though. I have seen lots of differant cars do donuts but that 02 took the cake. It was almost violent. If I had known about it sooner i would have entered the run. What little I saw was great!

I heard about the donuts...I hope there is a video somewhere.

How many cars would you estimate were there?

If I had to guess I would say about 65-70 cars. Even a nice correct looking General Lee was there. About 10 Bandits, 1- 74' Super duty , 3- Third Gens (including a 89 Turbo) all kinds of 4th Gens but disappointingy no 1st gens except one 69 Z28
