Default MAF delete?

Is deleting teh MAF possible? How do you do it?

Just have your tuner reprogram your tune for speed density mode. Are you going over the limits of the MAF?

Speed Density is "an air metering device, in this case a manifold absolute pressure sensor is used whereas later cars used mass airflow". I'm not sure what all years and vehicles it came in but I do know they were in the 93 F-Bodies.

well unless you're maxing out the MAF I don't really see a need to go to speed density. I don't know the exact specs on your build, but I'd say with an Lt4 Hotcam you'll be just fine with a MAF.

I don't know if this is true or not but I heard the MAF can handle around 400hp. So if you are not at that hp yet, I wouldn't worry about it.

yes but why?

a stock MAF can handle much more than 400rwhp...the PCM would just need to be tuned.
