What should I price my LT1 (motor)for??
It has about 125,000 miles on it, uses no oil, runs very strong(numbers in sig). It has less than 10,000 miles on springs, new valves, all seals in heads, head gaskets, cam, 1.6 rockers, oil pump, Lunati timing chain, and I'm probably forgetting a few. I have a few people wanting to buy it, but I don't know what to price it for. The only things that don't go are the fuel rails, injectors, and sensors.

Id push for at least $7500. Thats a nice looking car and apparently it hauls *** too. What does an LT1 car normally sell for in your area though? That would be the best way to base your price.

Sorry I misread that. I just woke up. Sorry I have no idea what motors are worth.

god i didn't realise the LT1's went for that much right now hmm. I think if mine goes BOOM i'm just gonna rebuild, seeing as they god for some good $$$. Good luck selling it. If i was in the market right now i'd take it. I'm looking to get an upgrade this next winter/fall. will pull the motor when i park it, sell the motor and buy one that's built already or rebuild mine. ~Cole~

your joking right...that motor is worth alot more than 500 even with the miles..take a look at the market for these motors....with wiring harnesses go for 1400 and up..no way i would take less than 1200 for it

No way do you get a lot for a high mileage engine. As for the guys comparing it to a complete engine with harness. You guys need to re-read his 1st post...He is not even including the injectors or sensors.... no way are you getting his harness.
94 had the lower flowing Aluminum heads.
Caprice (Impala SS) engines are dirt cheap IMO and actually have as much potential.
I can get fair mileage 5.7 LT1 Roadmaster,Cadillac and Caprice engines all day long for under $500 which is the same short block and pistons with better flowing, but Iron, heads.
HOWEVER it is worth what someone is willing to pay. Different areas of the country get different amounts. Go to www.car-part.com and look up your car and see what they are getting for complete same mileage engines then subtract the fact theres includes manifolds injectors and sensors. Keep in mind the high dollar guys their's always gonna be someone hoping for $2000 for a $500 product usually wind up holding it for eternity.
good luck.
