Default A day with Fikse

I went down to try on my new shoes the other day. I have ground/rolled rear fenders and was trying for 17x8.5 +38 255/45/17 up front and 17x9.5 +44 285/40/17 in back. Tires are GS-D3. Here's the results:

Pic 1 - The wheels

Pic 2 - Close-up of left rear

Pic 3 - Shot from behind, serious beef

Pic 4 - Closer shot of just how beefy

Pic 5 - Pulling out of the garage

So, then I did a little testing to see if they were gonna rub.

Pic 6 - Starting to launch

Pic 7 - Full acceleration

Pic 8 - Right side

Pic 9 - Left side

Pic 11 - See what rubbing looks like on a new tire

So, now we've got some 275/40/17's coming. It's too bad the 285's rubbed.

Since Fikse is a sponsor I just want to add that they have given me 100% customer service and satisfaction. They are eating the cost of the extra pair of tires. When they say they guarantee fitment(if they do the measurements), they mean it.

If I had the money, those would be the wheels of my choice and always have been. They just look flat out smoking period. Nice man!

Thanks for the comments. I like the beefy, thick, look. That being said, the switch to 275s will reduce that look somewhat. They also make a lower profile 255 I might try in the front when these are due for replacement.

He is also running 17's that's why they probably look a little tall. I think we are used to seeing people with 18's aftermarket on there cars.
