The 1997 LS1 Camaro and Firebirds had lots of differences but in 1998 GM made them identical to save on manufacturing costs. :)

Did any of you guys check his profile? Hell he's 11 years older than I am and I'm 20-30 years older than most folks here. He may not know HOW to do what we all prescribe, i.e., use the search function. Ever think of that? Cut him some slack. If he was 20 or so I'd be all over his ass just like the rest of you cuz y'all youngsters grew up with this stuff. I only know how to do this stuff cuz I've been working with computers since before there WAS a WWW database.

What is the mail difference between the two 1997-2002
The main differences.
Camaro is plainer looking original badass of the two
Trans Am is more flashy and meaner looking, also slighty heavier.
Engines for both models...
1997=LT1
1998+=LS1
Models youll mostly see:
Chevy Camaro-Z28, SS
Pontiac Firebird-Trans Am, WS6,
Looks..
