Crand 227 Are aftermarket springs mandatory with a crane 227 camshaft? It doesn't say they are and the springs I bought were mismarked and won't fit.

Aftermarket springs are required with anything other than the stock cam and stock rockers. If you upgrade either of those, then you need new springs. Send the springs you bought back, if you can. Otherwise, get some good springs from a reputable seller that will give you room to grow if and when you want to get a bigger cam.
