Default Powder Coat Or Paint Rims?

I guess you have to heat powder coating in an oven to harden? Since my tires are already mounted should i just have my rims painted? Would the paint hold up to rocks and stuff? I know powdercoating has gotta be alot more durable. Is there any special paint they use for rims? Would a regular body shop do it? I dont know of a good body shop or powdercoat shop anywhere around roanoke va.

Um, take the tires off.. and go powdercoat them. I have my wheels painted, and have a few chips here and there. Paint will not hold up as well as powdercoating... actually, powdercoating is 100x better than paint. Just ask around or check in a phone book for local powdercoating shops.
