Hello,

IS there anty qway to check my lifter to seei f they have failed without taking the heads off the car. Could I pull the valley cover and check them that wayt or does the head completely bolt over the lifter itself.

There's really no good way to look at them and truly inspect them without pulling the heads.

I guess you could look down the PR hole in the heads, but that's not going to tell you anything.

hmmm, thank you. I figured as much.I just wanted to make sure there was an easy way of doing it before I tear down a good chunk of that motor.

Heads need to come off for anything lifter related pretty much. You could check for a completely collapsed lifter though by pulling the valve covers and push on the push rods and fell for a weak lifter.
