Default A few ?s guys

Ok I just bought a turbo from a local guy for cheap, It is a Airesearch turbo I assume by garrett since the plate on the turbo says it, ok the sizes on it is as follow, It appears to be a hair bigger than a T4 flange but not much, the inlet is a four inch the compressor outlet is a 2 1/2 and the exhaust outlet is a 3 inch, The exhaust housing says it has a A/R of 1.58, How much horsepower is this turbo good up to? I am wanting to put this on my 6.0 on about 10#s of boost like i had my twins at.I am mostly concearned about the 3inch exhaust outlet is that enough? Any help would be great, Thanks guys

you need to pull the compressor cover and measure the inducer(the wheel you can see through the intake) and that will tell you what size your wheel is. Thats a large hot side A/R sounds almost like a GT42 or GT47.

as far as i know the flange could only be a T4 or a T6. If your not that good with turbo stuff, send it to jose(forcedInductions) and he can tell you what it is, and if its in good shape

Thanks man, Well I have a t4 flange in my garage and the bolts holes are just a hair off, So I assume it is a t4 flange, What part of the wheels should I measure the bottom of the wheel or just the part that shows on the compressor side? Hey i got one more ? how come my buddy has a huge turbo with a 5 inch exhaust outlet but his A/R on it is a 1.34, and looks way bigger than mine? How is that? Thanks

Its a 64mm turbo with a 1.58A/R. It will probably be a little laggy and die around 500-550rwhp.

Thanks DR.Turbo that is what I needed to know, I can use it for a little bit then, Will it be big enough on the exhaust side for the 6 liter on about 10#s of boost since it has a 3 inch outlet for the exhaust?
