Default PV GS3 help... profound newb questions...

I have a Panasonic PV GS35 camcorder.

Do I need to install software on my pc to make it work, or will it work with any software? My neighbor said I don't need the Panasonic drivers but when I plug it in nothing happens.

There may have been a disc at some point but we can't find it. My neighbour has the exact same camera so I can borrow his disc if need be.

I'll start posting vids once I get this figured out.

Yes..install the drivers so that the computer will recognize the camcorder. You can use any editing software though. Are you using Firewire or USB 2.0?

The plug on the pc side has like a little Kokopelli guy on it? My laptop has the same little thing.

I'll go and ask for the disco.

He will need the disc if when plugging in the unit...the pc does not recognize it. That is what it sounds like it is doing.
