Default Looking for a rotating assembly

Who has the absolute lowest price for an all forged rotating assembly for a iron block 408 that will have about a 150 shot of spray on it...Im trying to keep my cost down since this will just be a back up motor in case the one i have now fails....

Wont be cheap prob something like 15gs for a really nice setup. Also why only a 150 shot? You need more like a 250

You cant just get a rotating assembly, you have to get 1st: An iron block out of a truck right round $600-$1000
Then rotating assembly- $3000-$4500 with crank forged
Then gotta send the block to wherever to get it machined $500-$1000
Heads - $2000-$3000
Cam with springs and all parts needed- $1000-$1300
not cheap by no means
this is just a short run down to have a semi nice setup.

Dude im not a total idiot...I already have the iron truck block that im gonna have machined after i get the rotating assembly....I have a 383 that im going to use the heads and cam off of when the time comes around...Where are you getting these rotating assembly prices from...Are they coated in gold?

I dont need the best products for this rotating assembly due to the fact that the largest shot of spray that will be going on to it is a 150 wet shot...I know that i can get one for at least 1900... I was just seeing if that is about as cheap as it gets....Thanks

Oh ok then, Im sure you could get like an eagle rotating assembly for round that maybe, just check out TSP and see what prices they have. Sounds like you've got all the parts just about just make sure and do all ARP bolts and stuff.

Another question is what is really better for nitrous........Mahle pistons or Diamond pistons
