Default LS6 Intake finally painted *Pics*

The intake is actually a little darker than what the pictures make it. The color is the 30th aniversary blue. Im happy with the outcome. Let me know what you think.

I like it very much. I have my intake off right now and you have me thinking....

What are the preparation steps, what type of paint did you use and how did you apply the paint?

First thing I did was sanding the whole intake with a medium grade sandpaper. After that I hit it with 1000 grit. It took a good while to get the whole thing sanded and smooth. After that I used some high build primer and applied light coats and let it dry overnight. Sanded and repeated until I was satisfied. As for the paint, I did all this while my car was getting painted, and my scoops on my WS6 hood are that color blue, and the painter told me to just bring him the intake and he would spray it for nothing. After he was done I took it home and cleared it. Nothing hard, just time enduring. I plan on doing the lid that color next and then some white fuel rail covers to compliment the whole deal.
