Default LS2 Pilot Bearing Question?? HELP ASAP!!

Just got my LS2 in my car. I am using a LS1 T-56. I put a LS2 pilot bearing in, but for some reason I cannot get my tranni all the way in. It's about a 1/2" to a 1" off. Do I need to use the LS1 style pilot bearing? I tried a search but could not find anything on this

Thanks

All LS2's other than C6's had the LS1 style bearing (the older one). The Larger LS2 (C6) style pilot bearing is about .400" further rearward, you need the LS1 style. The LS2 C6 pilot bearing also makes it where you can use older non-LS1 manual transmissions with a LS1 engine FWIW.

The OE for your year car. The LS7 PB is wrong.
