Default Had a good time at the Pinks all-out thing..

No new bests, ran a 9.3x and a 9.2x @ 144. It was cold out, (good) but low barometer and nasty headwind (bad) so I never really got a good run since it took so long between passes everything got cold lol.

Didnt get picked for the 16 finalists though, they chose 10.50 cars, still a great time and would do it again. HotcopperZ on the board (neighbor of mine) did make it in with his great looking 94 Z28. But a chevy powered mustang ended up winning it.

Couple passes on video, first was against a 9.50 mustang that tree'd me hard (they dropped the tree the second I turned the bottom bub on, I had no idea where the staging beams were) but I almost got him (9.2X to his 9.5x) so it was a cool race. Second pass is the 'arm drop' qualifying pass, they turn the clocks off for that one.

Yea, my wife said everyone stood up and was cheering for me to go around him. Wish I would have cut a better light though, got caught off guard and just floored it without the brake, still a 1.280 60' though

Your car looked pretty good with the FMIC. I watched you run on the 9.3x pass friday night. We had a white 99 Z28(cam only, 150 shot) down there running 10.3-10.4s so we barely missed out I imagine. Had a good time even though it was freezing.

I was surprised at how many LS1 cars were there, I watched most of them run so I'm sure I seen yours. Two guys that were pitted right next to me ran 10.45/10.51 and they didnt get picked either. They really want cars with a little flash and as much diversity as possible I imagine since its TV.

I would do it again, it was pretty cool and kind of reminded me of the 'old days' of drag racing. All kinds of different cars, seen a lot of people helping out, borrowing parts etc, lot of guys camping out having a good time. Most 'big time' events these days are filled with guys that their pit vehicles cost more then my race car and everyone is walking around looking they want to kick someone's *** if you ask them what time it is lol.

Wish it was 15 degrees warmer but still had a good time, hoping I'll be able to feel my ears in a few more days

There was another black T/A there that ran 8.60 or something, dont know what it had for an engine but it was flying (nitrous car would br my guess). The all-out thing has nothing to do with how fast you go really, they just want 16 cars grouped together as tight as possible and I knew right away just by looking at the cars there is was going to be a 10.50 show. I could have slowed mine down that far but I went to run the car and have some fun, and that I did

There were quite a few LS1s down there. The fastest one I saw was the one that RPM brought down that run 8.8x or so. Overall, everyone was pretty friendly as I talked to quite a few ford guys down there. Im convinced the only reason they picked the mid 10 class was because of that porsche. I was pulling for the mid-9 class myself.

Awesome car! Too bad they never seem to pick the nice, real 'street' cars in these shows.

They want whats good for TV, if you go there because you have a fast/nice car and expect to get picked you will be disappointed most likely. It was 30.00 to race for two days, enjoy a good show and see what its about so it was worth it.

Not to mention the 500.00 for diesel, race gas, track food, hotel etc but thats just part of the deal. The entry for a chance to win 10K was pretty reasonable, was a nice track and everything was pretty well organized.

The truck or the nova (not sure if you sold it)? Its better odds then playing the lottery and you get to have fun, my wife and kids had a blast also. The stands were packed which was amazing considering it was in the 40s with a north wind all day.
