Default stock gauges acting up

i had a 383 installed into my car, before that the gauges worked fine, now that everything is done the oil pressure is around the top of the gauge all the time and my coolant temp wont read at all. i do have a high volume oil pump but i still dont think that it should have that much pressure, confused and need insight. thanks guys

check the wiring harness, make sure nothing is broken. Replace the temp sensor the one in the head is for the dash and waterpump is for the pcm if I recall

Well I guess, you didnt bother to check, so whatever, good luck. Just a fyi as long as the harness is reconnected in the right spot (which is pretty hard to mess up) and the wires are not burnt or broken, the sensor is acting up, change it. Not to say I owned a 383 LT1 but thats me.
