Default Cam

I have a 99 zz8 with a stock ls1 and its automatic... i dont really kno the specs and was wondering what a MS3 camshaft "TSP XS Series Camshaft:
Magic Stick V.3 237/242 .603/.609 with a 112 degree lsa" any comments if thats good...and if anyone wants to help who has alot of knowledge about cams for ls1's i have msn if theyd like to talk on there

First thing first. Your motor has to breathe. Headers, Exhaust, Intake. I know you said stock, but how stock is it? That is a pretty decent sized Cam. I have the MS4, and a buddy of mine has the MS3. Both nice cams, but you'll need all the supporting mods to go with it.

ya im gonna put exhaust and headers on it before i do cam for sure...also 373 gears....i just dont have much knowledge on any of it

do all bolt ons, stall, and gears and then go cam.... make sure the cam comes after those otherwise you wont get all out of that cam and with the stall i wouldnt go anything smaller than 3800.

i just got my ms3 installed and love it. i have a 3500 stall right now but im going up to a 4000 just to get that power. but all and all im so happy with my cam choice.

Ya Thanks For The Advice Beacause My Friend Just Put A Cam In And He Figured He Woulda Been Better Off Doing Rear End First Cuz I Dont Wanna Jump To Fast.....but That Sounds Like A Good Route To Take
