for koni's; if you ever change springs you can adjust the shocks per the new set. when you get new tires if they have a stiffer sidewall you can adjust the shocks

for bilsteins; they're cheaper by about 250...but could be too rough for what you want when you change tires..or get bigger rims

If you can afford the Koni SA's then get them. Sam first started revalving the Bilsteins to comply with certain racing class restrictions and got very good at it. It is cheaper, but you can't change them. With the Koni's you can adjust them to your whim. Some tires are soft, some firm, you can adjust them to give you the ride you want. They are the better choice if you have the funds.

Are you going to want to adjust them? If not get the bilsteins. If you want to be able to fine tune them, get the konis.

Ajustable is always an advantage so I assume everyone would prefer them. It really comes down to money.

Not everybody wants to deal with adjusting shocks.

It's very simple. You jack up the front so the suspension droops then turn the little ****.

Not hard at all. You firm it up if you want quick turn it or soften it to make it ride smoother. It's really great.

Only rebound is adjustable with the KONI SA shocks. Correct?

The difference is one is adjustable, and the other isnt. Both work well with lowering springs.

What springs are you using? If you think you might change springs a lot, then get the koni's. If you just want to do the springs once, get some revalves. FWIW, I use the same Koni setting on my stock springs as I do aftermarket springs

He asked what was adjustable on the Koni SA Shocks. I know full well they offer a DA shock, but he wasn't asking about that.

So Eat ****!!!!!!

Might be reading this incorrectly here, but you seem to say that like it's a bad thing? It's not. You want rebound split from compression damping (which cheap shocks like AGX's don't do), and compression is an unsprung weight control, not a damper of sprung mass like rebound it. Rebound is much, much more important. If you want both, then you can run DA's--they cost a lot more, and I don't even use my own set..... fwiw.

I think his point is that you maybe should have noticed that before muddying the waters. As a side note, this is the bad part of forums. Folks only take bits and pieces away from posts and that can be a bad thing.

That was exactly my point...Kage posted what I quoted, then retracted it to post what ended up going below mine. He was in a big hurry to point out my mistake and realized he had made one.

The forums are getting worse about this kinda stuff...that's what my problem is, "brah".

I have to disagree with you on this one. Yes, if you change spring rates you will brobably want to tweak your settings, but that also goes for changing your tires as some tires are stiff, some soft and some in between. If you add a bigger front sway bar you may want to reduce the rebound (this is low sped rebound we're talking about on the SA's). If you want a sporty feel you may want to increase the rebound. If that gets old and you decide you'd rather have a smoother ride, then you would turn them down. There are a whole lot of variables besides the spring rate.
