Default p1sc ls1 pully size q?

ok i have a 1998 camaro ls1, with the dual intercooled p1sc procharger,42lb injectors, glassed crank, callies steel rods, afr 205 heads, ect ect. it is a full on built drag car, in the process of being tuned right now. i have had problems geting boost, i had been assuming that i had the 8psi pully because that what procharger said, but today i checked and it is the 4.5" pully, so my question is who make a pully smaller (more psi) than what procharger has to offer, the biggest they have to offer is a 8 or 9 psi i think? i was looking for one that could put out something like 10-15psi, do u guys think this would be a bad idea? should i stick with the 8 or 9 that procharger offers? any help would be much apreciated. thanks

ProCharger offers pulleys down to 3.40" for the 8 rib drive.

I have a 3.4" pulley and a 7.75" crank pulley, and my P-1SC1 makes 14psi at 6500RPM without the hat and filter. With the filter and hat on, it only makes 11psi.

You also need to consider that the max impeller speed for a P-1SC1 is 65000rpm. I am running at about 93.5% max impeller RPM with my setup at 6500 engine RPM (60746 impeller RPM)

Another thing to think about is belt slip. The smaller the pulley, the less area the belt has to grip...

so the 3.4" pulley is what u would recomend? anything smaller will be to much rpm on the impeller? i want as much boost as i can get with this p1sc, but i need reliable boost, i dont want to harm the sc, this is a track only car if that makes any difference. also where is a good place to buy pullys? procharger told me that they dont make a 3.4" pulley? but others have said they do, i will call in the morning and find out.

It all depends how high you rev your engine to. Plus, if you have a 8" crank pulley, that will be spinning it faster than my 7.75" crank pulley. With an 8" crank pulley, you'll be spinning the impeller to about 62706rpm at 6500 rpm with a 3.4" pulley. I don't know how high you plan to rev. You need to figure that out for yourself. You also need to find out what model P1SC you have. Max impeller speed for the P-1SC1 is 65000. I believe the standard P-1SC is only 62000 rpm max. Check prochargers site to verify that tho...

I bought my pulley from Bob @ EPP.

ok well i checked the sc is the p1sc-1, im not sure if the crank pully is excatly 8" or the 7.75? its the ati dampner and pulley, if i were to measure the pulley where would i do so to get an exact measurment? the grooved area where the belt rides or the outside? im prety sure that the outside is 8"
