Stereo & Electronics - Ordered a Valentine V1 today

Basically as the title says. Cant wait for it to get here! I've heard nothing but good things!

navalert!! hmmmm thats something i didnt know you could get lol pretty cool though instead i might just buy that stuff and spray my tag a bunch of times to make it reflective to the cameras lol cheaper too $30 can of spray > $230 navalert

i just bought the 8500 X50 friday...their both good radar detectors....but im just curious u said ur excited to see how well it is gonna work....just wanderin if u have done any research on radar. i e www.radarbusters.com ...it helps to know EXACTLY what ur gettin and what its weaknesses and strengths are....just my .02

I have the same RD, the 8500 and its amazing. I have heard better about the V1 but its also more expensive. So for a cheaper, performing RD the 8500 X50 is hte next best choice.

I own both 8500 X50 and V1, ripped the 8500 X50 out of the SS and bought another V1 for the SS.

This is now what my 8500 X50 is good for:

The V1 looks outdated, but I've loved mine ever since I bought it. I feel naked driving around in my girlfriend's car without it...

They are supposed to be pretty good, and you'll always find articles that rank them higher than the Valentine, but I dunno...seems like there is a lot of bias out there. It is rare that you find someone that has owned both...I haven't, but would like to borrow one from someone at some point to see what it is like.

hmmm...i was wanderin b/c i just bought one last friday...i had a cobra XRS 9700 for 2 years so its not like its gonna be worse :lol: ....but i havent had the chance to see how well it performs yet...my car got hit in the parkin lot last week and its still in the body shop :( ....pics are in the southern sec. "MY SS got Hit!!!"...but atleast im gettin 2 new headlights, front bumper, hood repainted, fog light, turn sig. replaced...which the headlights were startin to fog so much needed :D....AND im not payin for shit!!!
