If you have the budget take a nice round number like 427

I would do a iron 408 for max power and strength, possibly a new ls2 based motor for lighter block weight.

A nice iron 408 with good heads, lumpy cam and a f1c blower will make crazy power!

the f1's make crazy steam.....good luck with it. My f1-R was too much for even a dual keyway crank though, so be careful with cog setups if thats what you're going to run. the numbers for mine are in my sig, albeit a SBC but those numbers are ONLY 20psi too.....these blowers are sick

I have a question for u epp. What kind of power are you guys getting on a basically stock motor, or is this setup too much for stock? What would u recomend upgrading? IS an iron block a must for big numbers or can the alum handle some good power? I'm kinda new to the forced induction thing, but have been looking into it. thanks

I really wouldn't use a head unti any larger than the D-1SC for a stock block. We have a local customer running an F1A on a GTO with a stock block, but he had a custom made 5.25 blower pulley made for it. The GTO has a smaller ATI supplied crank pulley, which made this more convenient as well.

Scott swapped out the camshaft for a blower grind, and had Jeff Runion machine him a 5.25 pulley for the head unit. It is only making 6.50-6.75 psi of boost, which is fine for him for now on the stock bottom end. It is at 490 rwhp. I'll post up a dyno sheet when I get a chance. Bob

I seen a LS1 gto tonight with a procharger made me want one soo bad! He had kooks headers, heads, cam and a few other things also but a stock intake/tb and I think the dyno sheet was around 568rwhp or so if I could remember. Would I be able to make that kind of power safely on the stock bottom end then?
